What colour are>>>>>>>

what colour are mites? white?

One of the pieces of wood i brought in to raise the tank came from the shed (and was covered in plastic) but i noticed little white bugs on it ONLY AFTER i had put it under my 40gal tank. I've removed it, sprayed down the tank with bleach/water and everything that was in it. I've also sprayed the TV unit it was on with bleach/water solution.
I've checked the two tanks beside the TV unit and the one on my computer desk, so far no bugs.....It only takes one and now i feel all creepy crawly LOL.

If it is mites, what else can i do to prevent spread to my geckos? What do i do if they show up in or around their tanks?
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH i need to go for a shower LOL.
Thanks in advance for any help
Creepy, crawly Red lol

If it was living in the wood, it probably wasn't mites. A lot of bugs burrow, live in, or eat wood. It was probably some kind of insect larvae.

Thankyou

I've searched the forums for anything to do with mites and i've read that they are black. These ones are white and very very tiny. I've seen lice and ticks (way to big) before so i know its not either of those. I'd feel better if i knew what they were LOL.
Hopefully the bleach got them all, but to be on the safe side i also sprayed the entire unit down with furniture polish (if nothing else it'll slow the little suckers down LOL). Its been a while so i'll go rince out the tank (only had the bleach/water on/in it) and after a good power wash i doubt anything will have survived

Thanks again
Red
