This was the last clutch for this year. It was layed by metropolis, a 5 year old. It was her 3rd season for laying. Last year she produced 13 good eggs, this year 15 flabby. Oh, well, better luck next year.

My male has been trying to be sexually active since he was 3 years old. LOL Bubbles just didn't want to cooperate until this year.

In the wild it takes longer because the diets are not as nutritious or readily available. In captivity it is not uncommon for females to produced eggs during their 3rd summer -- just shy of 3 years of age. Alot depends on diet, frequency of feeding, husbandry, cage size, and putting the animals outdoors usually brings better luck.
