we have worked with Coxi for many years, we have seen diminished pattern animals, thick striped animals, and these banded animals.

the banding tends to fade in adults, but it does seem to be an inheritable pattern in babies. this animal has nearly 10 bands, the most we have ever seen, and i have no idea how much fading will happen as the animal matures. i guess we will see : )

2 other siblings in this same clutch had 8 bands each, and i posted two banded siblings from another clutch altogether last week, scroll down a bit to see that pic.

Latis are breeding now, but all of the Porphs are difficult to photo well, they don't like posing for the camera : )
