Horizontal Folds

darkstarluke Sep 18, 2007 08:38 PM

I just noticed some on my youngin. what should i do to remedy this? I mist every morning and have a water bowl out. humidity reads high on the crap-o meter that i have but i don't think that thing is worth anything. i have the exo-terra cube and had the front part covered with seran wrap but put a UV light on the tank for the plants. can still keep the seran under the light?

I don't think it's completely understood why skin folds show up in chondros. I've never heard that feeding them more isn't a solution. It may fade a bit with age but he/she'll most likely have it for life. I've never heard of it being anything more than a visual blemish and not something that actually causes any harm to the snake.

Kiwi has them...i think it is kind of like a wrinkle. I call them fat wrinkles ....just from being lazy and sleeping all the time in the same position (well, shes like 6 years old so shes entitled.)

Entirely different kind of skin fold. These folds are lengthwise along the body and the cause is not known.
