any1 know of a way of transportation that allows a baby snake as a carry on? im tryin to plan a trip to visit a friend out of state and dont feel like drivin any ideas?

Train or Bus?

Pretty sure none of the airlines allow "snakes on a plain"

Well, I don't know about the bus, probably not, if you tell them.

You are not allowed to bring pets on any Amtrak the train. Only service animals. Service animals may be: Mini Horses, Dogs, monkeys. Also animals that your Dr says that you need to have with you for comfort (yes, you have to have a Dr's note).

Now that was the basics of the formal answer you will get if you ask the people at the ticket counter or reservation lines.

If you take an Amtrak train, keep the small snake in a bag and don't, DO Not, take it out of the bag and start showing people. If they find out you have a snake with you, they will have someone from the local animal control come to the train and take the snake. If you refuse to give up the snake, you and the snake will be leaving the train, with a police escort if necessary. I have seen it done many many times. If the police or animal control are not called, the conductor just might let the snake go in the woods.

Don't tell anyone on the train I told you this.

where i went it would be inside a snake bag and inside my duffle bag lol i wouldnt never on a train plain bus whatever bring them out heck on my car ride back from tinley i dont even open the bags up and its my car lol. i just wasnt sure how much bus/train people check the bags when going thru them for the carry on so i didnt wanna just chance it. i still have some time to try and plan my trip etc so we shall see

You might want to call the airline. I looked at American's
web page on pets, I didn't see where it specifically prohibited snakes:

lol thanks anywhos almost worked lol i think if worse comes to worse ill pay some1 who needs a vacation to take me lol most i have drove straight was 8 hourse dont know if i could do 16 lol

What you could do is pick a place about half way to your friends place. Get a hotel around there. Drop off your things and then go herpin'. Go find your self a rattler or gopher or bull. Or go check out the pet shops or a breeder. Get some sleep and keep going in the morning.

hmm never thought about all that lol i was tryin to do this from a friday till monday thing and as cheap as poss lol i think herpin is out the question getting chilly up here already we are at the 80 one day frost on the ground next mournign stage already lol and if it helps and im in wisconsin and am headed to virginia beach lol to bad dave is in the other direction i would so take over his garage lol. maybe i could see about finding a place inbetween and see if i could find a breeder in the are and stop over on the way would be fun hopefully lol. any states recomended to stay away from on the way thru lol me and crime dont get along very well
