New to Cresteds......

phiber_optikx Sep 19, 2007 03:49 PM

What is a good feeding schedule for a 3 1/2 month old cresty? Daily? Every other day? He seems to be doing fine and adjusting to his new home. Also, can anybody tell me what they think he will look like as an adult? These were his night colors....

Is it normal for their toes to curl up sometimes when they are young? They aren't always that way but enough for me to ask....

Phiber, are you getting out of corn snakes? That would be a sad day!

The toe curling is them using the lamillae, instead of their grasping claws. If you look closely at your first picture, you can see how your gecko's cute little claws are up in the air on the side where he's on you hair, and not on the other side. He's using his claws on one side, and his pads on the other.

Unfortunately, i'm late for class since I wasn't paying attention to the time. I'll visit this later. Sorry!

Feed every other day... You can put food in there every day, but every other day is fine. There's no way of knowing what it will look like as an adult. They can stay pretty much the same, or change so dramatically you couldn't even tell it was the same gecko without knowing. The do the toe thing when they are walking, they all do it.
