Awesome, congrats on the getting the pair. I'd be curious
to see if/how the color on the anery changes as it gets older.
(Just don't feed it carrots!)
Good luck with them.

Cool, thanks for the pics. Just for grins, I put the pic of the yearling and the pic of the baby below for comparison.

I had a poster many years ago of a mouse standing there flipping off this huge eagle. Titled "Defiance"

They always remind me of that, I could take them out with one finger yet they act all big and bad!!

Plus (IMO) fiesty is a good strong healthy response. My normal cleaning feeding routines will settle them down in no time.

clean/feeding/pic taking lol that will def calm them down lol i think your snakes live outside the cagemore than in

LOL, touche!!

Pics are usually only on new acq's and right after sheds. So not that often for an individual snake, quite often for me!!!

I dunno about liking her (yet) he was trying to get away, she was just chillin. I had to keep directing him back, that's why his position keeps changing while she remains the same.

Give em a couple of years and then they'll like each other!!

If i had to guess these next fews year would be the time to get into rainbows, morphs are going to be poping up, hmm now where did I place my money tree at...

Hopefully I can get into these guys next year, cant wait!!!

Hey Jason,

Yeah, I'm thinking the rainbows will take off in the near future with the available morphs and, like you implied, with the combination of morphs. I'll be ready!!! Hope when the albino's become available I'll have enough sales to support getting some of the early ones.

Yeah I didn't realize that there was a Calico morph for BRBs. Brian's site showed one and wow its looks nice and wow it costs allot.. I wonder where/how he got his stock?
-----

"Long time Herper, first year Breeder `07."

rainbowsrus Sep 20, 2007 11:30 AM

Well, I've talked with Brian about it and as I remember, his male calico came from a show in CA somewhere. The calico coloring came on at around 1 - 2 years old.

Brian has bred it once and had a small litter of babies, sold two pairs of babies at two shows to unknown buyers as offspring from that male. He didn't know who they were and has not seen them since.

All Brian's remaining babies were in the same rack and unfortunately there was a thermostat failutre and the entire rack was cooked. More than just the calico offspring. Guess Brian took it hard and also lost heart in the project as he would have to start over. Now he just wants to sell the male, got $15K? He'll throw in a couple of adult females!!
