rack system holding moisture

forkit Sep 20, 2007 03:29 PM

Hey, I recently purchased a rack from RBI plastics and a thermostat. I have 1 male adolescent and 3 adult female balls living in it. they've been in there a few days, and I noticed that 2 tubs in particular, the one with the biggest female and the male, collect moisture like crazy. I can see the moisture on the front of the tubs, and after drying it out and putting fresh newspaper in, the newspaper becomes soaked through within several hours.

should I use a different substrate? drill more holes in the tubs? I'm concerned about respiratory problems. why would this even be happening?

I melt a lot of holes in RBI tubs, then control the moisture at the room-level.

Yeah same here..I have melted a single row of them around the top of the tubs.

btw ..Try using a soldering iron and just melt the holes instead of all the effort of drilling them(plus it's stronger that way)...

Drill holes in the tub. A method that works well is using a soldering iron.
