I have 4 dogs and a cat on top of Tempest and my bearded dragon, and they are all used to each other. Tempest is fine with the dogs as long as he is in his enclosure or up much higher than they are so they can't reach him, but I'm careful to never leave them unattended and for the most part if he's out, the rest are in the yard. If Tempest is in the yard, they are inside. I don't know how well free roamers would adapt, but I've yet to have animals not at least co-exist comfortably enough given time, patience and management.

its been one day and now one iguana is hiding under the entertainment center and wont come out and the other wont move on top of the cage. I might have to move them to another room. i dont want them to be scared like this.

My igs dont like our dog nor do they like the cats. If the dog catches one of them its a very good chance it will kill or seriously hurt the ig. Best thing to do until you know how they will act is to gradually introduce them. Let the igs get used to the dogs scent from a different room. Then in a few weeks bring them out for an hour with the dog. WATCH carefully. Then gradually increase the ammount of time of each visit. But as suggested before its best not to let them free roam togther.

My Ig's aren't phased by my 2 African Greys and Cockatoo (even when they reach the 9 decible level). I've put them (practically) snout to beak and the Ig's might give them a tounge flick if they're feeling curious that day. Dogs, however, are a different story.

All 4 of mine are terrified of dogs. . . even very small ones. I don't have a dog but have been know to baby sit the occasional Yorkie or Scottie. The first time the dog approaches their (huge) cage, they do anything from panic & bolt, to just plastering themselves into the walls on the highest perch. They don't eat well until after the dog leaves either. . . even though I make sure the dogs never hang out around their cage but only pass by their cages on the way out for walkies and such. The same behavior holds true whether we're talking about the Ig's being in their inside or outside cage (with the whole back yard around them). I've decided the only dog I'll ever be able to have is a very small on that I'd have to raise from a puppy to not give the Ig's a second look and (hopefully) get them to do the same.

I know this probably isn't what you wanted to hear but, good luck to you.
