why? is it becoz they get boring or something? too much maintainance?

I don't think thats necessarily a true statement. I think that there is a small percentage of people that get bored with their reptilian pets, just like people get bored with other types of pets like cats & dogs. It is sad but true... HOWEVER...its my opinion that it is only a small percentage of people out there. If anything, there are way more people that buy one reptile and get hooked and later on buy more and more and more...it is addicting BUT since it is an animal, it is very important to know what you are getting into. Be prepared to find and pay for a herp vet if your animal gets ill. I give you a lot of credit since many people don't ask the questions you are asking... instead they buy an animal on an impulse and have many many problems later on.

Is is unfortunately a sad truth but a very low percentage.

I got my first corn in febuary of 2002 so i have had them for a little over a year and a half but i am a long way from getting bored of them. I have 6 corns right now and am awaiting the arrival of 6 more hatchlings and 2 clutches And already i am planning the 2004 breeding season LOL How anyone could get bored of reptiles beat me

Yeah it's really sad when people buy any animal on an impulse and tire of it later or neglect it. I've had my first corn for almost two years, the youngest for a year, and my cat for ten years. It's hard to get bored with them when you get to know thier personalities and quirks.
