poop question.

atherisquamigera Sep 21, 2007 02:12 PM

just curious. All of my snakes poop small white poops once a week, but sometimes I find several huge brown poops in a cage. I saw the same thing when I had to assist my burm while shedding (the dry skin just stayed there for weeks, and I was worried about problems), So do you think this is stress related or water related? (I don't think it is because of water because they seem to only poop in their water and it is rarely big and brown.) maybe an intestinal thing...

The white ones are urates, and my snakes also pass them more frequently than the big brown logs. I wouldn't be too worried about it. If the urates start turning a distinct orange, the snake may be dehydrated.
