Best test breeding to date for me....

mgl Sep 21, 2007 06:23 PM

I bred a poss tangerine hybino, 50/hypo, 50/anery to a tricolor hypo het anery. I was trying to prove out the male. I had 4 eggs and was hoping to see a ghost het albino. 1st egg was an anery so I knew the male was definitely het anery and not a hybino but I was hoping to see if he still contained the hypo gene. The second egg was a 3x het so further provig he wasn't homozygous hypo. The 3rd egg was a extremish hypo, very light so now I was certain that he was het hypo. The 4th egg was indeed a ghost. Very interesting clutch and told me a lot about my male breeder. Just thought I'd share
