When to change feeding schedule??>>>

diggy415 Sep 21, 2007 06:55 PM

I have 4 just over 1 year old boas, i like to feed on a 2 week schedule, i know as babies its every week if they take it, but when is it ok to change to 2 weeks? I know they can go that long, but have plenty to feed either way.

Personally I never plan a schedule ahead of time. Just wait until you can notice a definite pattern in the individual boa's metabolism and account for it accordingly. Two of my adult males were eating every 3 weeks by the time they were 6 months old. Those two males were also leaving sperm deposits before their 1st. b-day. However I have had others that I feed weekly up to breeding age (though they do get smaller meals than others of the same size).
