I'd been kind of interested in keeping a sonoran gophersnake. This summer I found one that really stood out. Below are a couple pictures of it and a typical individual. Both look to be just under a year old (probably 2006 hatch). I released the normal looking individual; we saw seveal more similar to the normal. Would the lighter one be considered a hypo or just a very nice normal? The tail bands on the lighter one are black and so are some of the markings on the side of the neck. Do you think it will keep its vivid colors into adulthood?
