Froze or Thawed

CodyNolen Sep 22, 2007 10:19 PM

Clearly thawed is what I want to use, I don't want to pre kill... I have had too man y pet rats to do it.

My snake hasn't ate in 5 weeks. It was on a monthly feeding of a live prey item. (small rat)

The snake hasn't lost any weight at alll and apears plump.

I tried frozen to no luck. For more refence:

Just do live or try and try again?

Are you trying to feed the snakes frozen rats?

I reread another post sO I know you are warming them up. Do you have any way of checking the temp? I try to make sure that the fur is warm to the touch so they can sense the heat. Some take longer than others to switch, I have a few that I gave in before they did.

Some will not take frozen thawed. I would feed him live. Keep an eye on him, and take the live out if he hasn't eaten within a half of an hour. Good luck, and hope this helps.
