The blurb shows that the guy (very typically) knows very little about snakes, much less coralsnakes. He believes the old myths and popular misconceptions about corals (inefficiant venom delivery system, etc.).
The snake on his nose is not a month-old hatchling and it is clearly a dead snake.
He's still an idiot.
