Recommended prey item?

I have a female boa (BCI) that is approximately 6' and 10lb. She is 2 and a half years old. I have been feeding her 2 f/t medium rats every Friday. She could easily take a large rat. She has been eating this way for a few months, and has been doing great. I fed her this Friday, and now 2 days later, she is staring at me like she does on feeding day. Normally when I walk by her cage she just pokes her head out of her hide, and watches me, but now her head is all the way out and all the way up to the glass. She normally only does this on Fridays, and that’s after I start bringing her dinner down. Seems to me she wants more. Now for the question, should I give her a third medium on Fridays? I have an abundance of medium rats, but no large. Should I go ahead and buy the large and give her 2 of those? Thanks for all of your help, in advance.

Buy large if that's even the right size, and feed her one rat, once every one to two weeks. I have a great big giant 2.5 year old too. You have to go buy how big around they are on empty to select the right sized rat. Mine just moved to XL, and eats once every two weeks. She's 6 feet and wide. She a suriname BCC. She has never been pushed, she's just a real big girl. One prey item no bigger in diameter than she is in diameter when she hasn't eaten. Don't be in a hurry, it isn't healthy for your snake. Don't be persuaded to feed her more because of her behavior, she doesn't need it. Mine starts looking for the rat two days after she eats too, don't let her work you for rats. : ) If you do you'll shorten her life by overfeeding. Good luck.

Its a conditioned feeding response as a result of in cage feeding.
Your prey sounds fine, granted larger single prey is preferred.
