Apples to oranges - not necessarily cheaper prices. Great quality animals from well known breeders will be available and of course you get to see and touch what you are buying. Plus no shipping!

from my experience going to White Plains & Daytona, the prices are cheaper than KS. also towards the end of the shows alot of breeders lower their prices.

It's like a used car lot....haggle with the breeders. They will almost always go a decent amount lower than the listed price!

yes KS prices seem higher. I think its just a ploy. When you get to the show you will think you are getting a "deal".

I have been to shows all over the country as a vendor, including many of the biggest shows there are. The Tinley Park show is absolutely one of the cleanest and best run shows there is. The majority of the animals on display there are animals that rarely if at all make it to classifed ads and many of the sellers there do not post their products online.

There are always top examples of everything you can think of in ball pythons, leopard geckos, turtles, tortoises, boas, etc.. So for pricing it may not be a flee market or state fair like herp show and the animal you want may be cheaper but it may be more expensive, you never know. BUT, it will probably also be larger, healthier and better looking AND as others have said, you can see it before you buy it and not pay for shipping or worry about shipping.
