great basins albino gopher - Non eater

Hey everyone. I am new to this thread and actually, new to this forum.

I just recently aquired a new snake to add to my collection. I have 2 corns, 1 kingsnake, and 1 texas rat snake. I thought it might be time to move onto something a little more challenging. However this little girl has turned out to be more challenging that I ever though. I cannot get her to eat. She is a precious little thing and way too expensive to let her go to waste.

Here are her tank details; Aspen bedding piled in for burrowing, UTH, basking spot of 85F, She has three different hides throughout her tank and one right sized water bowl. She is a little girl so she is only in a 10 gal right now.

I tried braining the pinkies. Feeding her in the dark and also once in her cage (on a large plate)

I do not understand. I have had snakes for a while now, and I have studied them even longer. I have never had this much trouble before. Am I doing something wrong?

Ps....She is such an awesome hisser, though I hear thats just part of the species. =)

Here is her picture!

Ohhh, she is very pretty! I used to raise wild mice to feed to my snakes that are reluctant to feed. When I first started keeping them I would only buy snakes that had feeding records and have proven to be hardy eaters. Some good breeders won't sell snakes w/out cards and who are not good eaters. Something to try if you don't have access to * healthy * wild variety mice is to get a gerbil pink. I've used them too for finicky eaters. Anyway, you can put her in a plastic shoe box (make sure it is escape proof!) and raise her in them for the first year. She may be spooked by the large cage.
