Nice Photos!
Nice Lizards:
Very likely your male is from southeastern Utah.
When it comes to taxonomy, I am a Jimmy McQuire fan so I don't recognize auriceps as a distinct subspecies. Yellow headed Collared Lizards come from Oklahoma, Colorado, Utah, western Kansas and maybe other places as well. They are really cool lizards but maybe not a unique taxonomy group, but instead a clinal color morph of the species Crotaphytus collaris.

hello

I also think auriceps is not a subspecies, but a variant/yellow headed collard lizard
In the title I wrote crotaphytus auriceps, but it must be crotaphytus collaris auriceps

lol Shelley a few people in the UK have imported youngsters from Holland and Germany this summer, so I'm sure it will be a possibility next summer, if the males are mature enough.

Arjan those are great pics, are they fed a lot of extra Carotenoids, or are they naturally that pretty??
