Crotalus atrox Substrate ?

Pygmyfan Aug 21, 2003 09:19 PM

What is a suitable natural substrate for Crotalus atrox i was hoping i could keep it on sand if so what kind? I know they live in a dry environment and i want a natural look to the vivarium. Also what other cage furnishings can i use for its cage. Hide box, rocks, thin rock slabs for a hide etc.

Thanks to all who reply

Atrox is probably the least demanding rattlesnake one could hope for. Virtually any dry substrate will suit them fine.
