I have made screen cages and I have bought screen cages.

If you have the time, and the ability to plan, you can save money. If you mess up, you can easily spend more in materials than it would have been to purchase a cage outright.

I pay about $70 each for my adult cages and $60 for baby cages.
I make my outside cages for about $20

The adult cages that I made cost about $30 in materials, and 4 hours each.

Know of any trust worthy online site for cages?

I was buying from a co in California. Reptile Haven.

Their cages are really good. I ran into problems when I recieved a cage that the aluminum framing was dented/creased. I had to jump through a month of hoops to get everything resolved. But, I just got the replacements today. So, I give them 3 stars. Just hope everything arrives how it is supposed to.

Hubby builds all the cages for our home and breeding facility. He has built caging systems for other breeders too. These are all wooden frame cages, but we do use other kinds. Here is where we get our cages for herp shows:

The folks at Scales are super!!
And they also carry Healthy Habitat - a spray for eliminating odors - this stuff is terrific!

Good luck,

I made mine. It was a pain in the ass. but, it was fun. Also, I got to make it how I wanted. I am "renovating" it soon to make it better.
You can make them for not a lot of $, or you can buy from ebay.
