Has anyone seen this?

StonedReptiles Sep 25, 2007 04:31 PM

I breed a few Sinaloan Milk snakes this year and got one that looks a little different. It is the only one I have produced that has no markings on the stomach at all. Most of my others have connecting bands all the way around, or at least red all the way around. This one is white all through the belly. It also has a red nose as opposed to black. How often is this seen and is it a morph or just a random occurence?

I'd say about half of my sinaloans have SOME patches of white on the belly. But nothing anywhere close to that. I would keep it back and do some breedings to see whats up with it. Even if its not a simple recessive thing, Robert Seib was able to selectively bred (after many generatins) patternless sinaloans from some with all red bellies.

Cool little snake,
Vinny
