U. maliensis acting strange

nuclear Aug 21, 2003 09:28 PM

Hi

I bought a mali during the summer when the temperatures were really high. Now it's cooling down a bit, and all he does is hide in his burrow all day long. The temperature in the enclosure is about 100 F in the basking spot, and 85 in the cooler spots. I've heard some people recommending temperatures as high as 125-130, should I raise the temperature, or is just hiding all the time normal behavior?

Thanks.

you should change the basking temp to at least 120 degrees F. The reason why your uro is hiding is because the temps are really low, once you turn up the temps he should be active.

Mike
