Well, you're slightly off in your initial scenario...

If you breed a bloodred to a charcoal(assuming no compatable hets), you will receive 100% normals het for the bloodred pattern gene (episkiastism) and het for anery B (charcoal), which may or may not tend toward the red end of the spectrum due to the line breeding of the bloodred.

If you then breed those offspring together, you would receive approximately 6.25% (1 in 16) pewters.

However...

If you breed a hypo bloodred to a charcoal(assuming no compatable hets), you will receive 100% normals het for the bloodred pattern gene (episkiastism) and het for anery B (charcoal), which may or may not tend toward the red end of the spectrum due to the line breeding of the bloodred, and het for hypomelanism.

If you then breed those offspring together, you would receive approximately 1.5625% (1 in 64) hypo-pewters (or whatever they're called now).

Hope that helps a bit...

It amazes me, so many people are at such a high level of understanding of genetics.

But imagine the day when corns will be a male het for 6 traits and the female het for 8 in which 5 are congruent, 2 are allelic and 2 are adjacent causing random changes.

Class 351 will start in about 2 years. (Just a guess)

Great answer.
