Hello... I am new here... I just bought a leo on Friday and it is now wed. I read how it may take a few days for them to get used to their new environment and that they may not eat for a couple days. Well it has been five days now and he still has not eaten... and there is more... he is a hatchling more or less... I am worried however a couple hours ago he was shedding for the first time that i have seen and he still has a little on his legs to get off... Could it be because of the shedding that he would not eat? he seems more active since he got his skin off but I just want to be sure... Thank you in advance

They often don't eat for a day or so after they shed - belly full of skin and all that. That being said, watch carefully to make sure s/he gets all the shed off his/her toes. If it doesn't come off, it can constrict around the toes as it dries up, cutting off circulation and causing the loss of the toes. Basically, make sure there's a good supply of water in the water bowl and that there's at least one humid hide in the tank. If his/her legs aren't clean in another day or so, you'll want to bother him/her with a wet q-tip, very gently, of course.
