Seriously impacted IJ - Questions...

ShadyLady Sep 26, 2007 08:12 PM

Help! I think we're about to give up on the soaking. We have a 2 year old female IJ who is seriously impacted. If we can't get her to move her bowels she'll most likely have to have surgery.

Have any of you attempted giving a snake an enema? If you have, was it successful? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Have any of you given a snake mineral oil for constipation? Any luck with that?

Thanks for your responses,

Amy C.

Consult your vet with these questions. They all have their uses, but can be contraindicated at times. YOur vet will help you and your snake out the best they can and will do surgery only if it is the last, best option.
