Finally. . . Honduran Gods Smiled.

jonellopez Sep 27, 2007 01:49 AM

Hi everyone

My honduran projects had suffered a lot of set backs over the past couple of years but this year I finally had something to be excited about. My vanishing hypo male and a het vanishing hypo female produced this little gem for me as well as some nice looking vanishing pinstriped hypos and a pair of nice hets. As you can see, her pattern consists of dorsal dots and just different shards or orange on her banding. Needless to say, she's staying home. Just sharing the excitement to you hondo freaks. Thanks for looking.

And her siblings aren't to shabby either and the male never fails to pass on his "goggle mask."

Nice looking het sibs

Awesome! I especially like the goggles on #3 & #4. I would have to agree that the Honduran gods definitely smiled for you this year. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Hi Vicky

I love the "goggle-mask" too. I don't see them around often either. Thanks for the nice words.

Hi Eric

Checked out your site and saw the beautiful animals that you produced. Very nice! I have a Panasonic DMC-FZ7 camera that I use for my pics. Got it about a year ago and I love it. It's the best bang for my buck since it's relatively inexpensive and take pretty good pics. It has some manual controls that I can mess with and learn before I get a DSLR. Thanks again for the compliments.

Outstanding vanishing patterns. Really an A clutch all around. And I love your photography. I never have enough patience to wait for them to sit so still and just opt for the best shot 10 minutes of trying.

Thanks for the compliment Rob. What I usually do with hondurans is set them up in a delicup or their cage and leave them in there for at least half a day to settle down. Then come back and just lift the paper towel/ newspaper/hide box and take your shots. I can get approx 6-8 quick shots before they start to get restless and shoot off like normal hondurans do, hehe.

Well, that's the best description I could think of since the normal banding is usually referred to as masks. So I figure goggles would be adequate. Thanks for the compliment.
