Axanthic color question.... confused?

shanegreeneyes Sep 27, 2007 02:59 PM

Hi, i recently purchased 2 baby axanthic kings, ive seen adults and some are whiter than others and thats what i was hoping mine turn out to be when they get older.

MY QUESTION IS will my adults be very white or is there a certain morph or certain kind of axanthic i need to purchase or is it just luck??

i don't know about white... but axanthics do turn blue-ish purple... the black and white axanthics look just like black and white florida kings, i've yet to see a white axanthic (it is possible though!)

Both the new england and lemke lines get pretty blue, the new england line has more of a reduced pattern than the lemke line.

personally i think the NE line is the best looking... if you don't know what line your snakes are, all u can do i wait till they are adults... you can post pix so some of the Floridana Morphs specialist can give you an idea

Same snake in all 3 pix

the "white" color is really Blue-ish-Purple... like i said not knowing the origin of your axanthic, all u can do is wait till it's an adult
