Well, I got my fancy snake condo today. I was rolling right along assembling it, but came to a screeching halt when I put in the glass for the sliding doors. The glass is the wrong size, looks like for an 18" high cage instead of the 15" height that I have. (The glass was shipped separately.) So plan B goes into action. Instead of a fancy condo, my Indigo will get a bare bones Sterilite apartment for now.

Also, a question about the thermostat. The directions for the T-Stat say to connect the probe to the underside of the cage where the heat tape is. My question is, how to connect? Electrical tape? Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Those crazy SOB's lol and there is nothing wrong with a naked sterilite Some people talk about using foil tape although this is usually for cases like holding flexwatt to the surface rather than the probe to the flexwatt. I personally use Silicone Rubber (aka the good stuff) and is good for temps up to 300 or something and since you are waiting on new glass the fumes will disipate in the meantime but I am interested as how others do it too

Honest mistake, and they (Animal Plastics) already responded to my email! I sent it about 1/2 hour ago.

Thanks for the info. Like you said, might be a good thing I got the wrong glass, now I can have some time to work out the T-Stat/heating issues. Don't want to cook my boy the first week I have him.

I'm just messing with you Ed. I've heard nothing but good about AP and the sterilite tubs, heck I got those so I had to comment on sterilite and you weren't sounding like a snob just pulling your leg.

Hey Jeff,

This is the best I can do right now. It's a picture
of a ground skink I caught last week. I named him "Snack"

The way my luck has been going, the FedEx guy got in a pile-up
on the interstate...
