finicky eater gtp

hi im new to the forum but i have a question. i have a gtp that is a very finicky eater. he only will eat if i tease him with a prekilled mouse. i have to bumb him on the nose to provoke a strike and then he will coil and consume it. does any one have any ideas that i could try to get him to eat on his own? thanks in advance
