cohabitation for breeding

if you put a smal group of corns in the same enclosure for a week or to during breeding season would the males compete?

can somone who has done this fill me in on what happens?

Never done this myself, but I've heard it being done successfully. Just keep in mind that if you do this you must forgo pretty much all genetic knowledge off the offspring as you will only know the mothers of each clutch and have no idea which snake the father was, or even if there is more than one father per clutch.

I have used another male to help stimulate a male not really "in the mood"
The male I was wanting to breed just wasn't interested so I put in a male that had already showed his willingness. Within minutes the males were getting excited and trying to gain the best position to breed the female. Once that happened I pulled the "stunt male" out and the "star" did his job...lol

thanks for the tips.

about the whole not knowing the genetics, i would probably get a known male and it would be a 1.2.1 group. and right now i have an amel, a butter and a blizzard. so i will know what the babies are for the most part.

and i dont realy care if i know who the father is, because its still a corn.
