identify please

hello all this time i did not kill it but need to know what kind it is as it is now in a bucket and needs a new home...

THAT is a hognose snake for sure!!! Completely 100% harmless, eats mostly frogs and toads. They'll put on a good bluff for sure by hissing and spreading their necks out, but they are totally harmless, and virtually never bite. They play dead too, neat little snake.

On a personal note, thank you for not killing it, I was one of the people who posted on the original post you put up here, and I'm glad to see a live hognose. Take care,
