Barker's Retic Pythons on TV

greghaugen Sep 29, 2007 11:55 AM

Hi. I'm looking for assistance. I'm trying to find a copy of a "special" on the Barker's Retics (when they had them) that was on TV back in 98-ish. I thought it was a National Geo Explorer and for some reason I was thinking it was on an episode with King Cobras for some reason. Does this ring a bell with anyone. It was right when the Super Tigers were just being hatched. They showed alot of pythons and it was an exceptional episode. I once had it taped but now I can't find it. I did look on Nat'l Geo's site there is an Explorer episode on DVD from that time with a King Cobra on it. I'm not sure if this is it or not.

Any help in locating a copy would be appreciated.

Thanks
Greg Haugen

Greg,
I also taped it when it was new but I can't seem to find it either. I own the first female Super Tiger they hatched on that show and have used her as a breeder since she was sexually mature and still do. The one thing I remember from watching it was the excitement expressed by Dave and Tracy as they counted Super Tigers. Good luck finding it and I will keep looking. Jud McClanahan

ii I know the show you are speaking of. I also believe it was aired on National Geographic channel. It i am correct I think it was on an episode of "Snake Wranglers." I can not remember what else was on the episode but thought maybe the title of the series might help you out in your search. Good Luck, Todd

I'm sure that you already thought of it, but did you email Dave and Tracy directly to ask them? I'm sure that they remember what it was and would be happy to help.
