Thinking about a diverse diet...

GrotesqueBurgess Sep 29, 2007 12:33 PM

Are dwarf hamsters of any value as a snake food source?

Can syrian hamsters be kept in pairs for breeding, or is it absolutely necessary to seperate them? I think I know the answer, but I'm trying to be optomistic.

Who sells frozen gerbils, hamsters, etc? I prefer companies that I can order from by "add item to cart" and paying with a card. I don't call in orders, etc.

Help would be appreciated.

Hamsters and gerbils can be an expensive food bill! I think BP's in particular will get imprinted with the hamster scent, and eat nothing else.

There's no need to diversify your animals diet, especially if its a CB animal. They get all the nutrition they need from a rat weekly. Hamsters aren't going to produce as well as rats either.

If your looking to not feed off domestic normal rats, why not check out ASF's? The African Soft furs are small in size, and reproduce quite well. I would consider them before any other rodent.
