How 'bout some more splendy/holbrooki?

Here's a pet shop rescue from last night. I got a call from the herp guy at the local pet shop about a female desert king from Mustang Island so I had to go get her. I know most people around my neck of the beach don't know that it can be a slow process to get an adult snake and lizard eater to accept domestic mice, so I took her on. She is skinny and she looks alittle dehydrated but all in all, she should come around. I just happen to have several fresh dark brown hoppers to get her a good startup meal. These aren't your classic animals, but I like 'em! Hope you do too. They are different, anyway, and I see a few hypo melanistics around here as well.

Well, like I said, they aren't as good lookin' as the western splendies, but they are what I have to work with here, and they are locale specific. So I will produce them next year. Actually, they are a kinda cool lookin' change from the "norm", although this IS the norm for my neck of the woods! East vs. west vs. classic! Fun, fun, fun!
