Too FAT vs Egg production??

VDR Sep 29, 2007 09:06 PM

I have over 20 breedable female Balls and one really stands out as being "fat". If I allow her to stay in this condition, will her weight have any negative affects on her egg production??
Would it be better to cut back on her feeding to get some of the excess fat off of her before breeding this Fall?? Or just allow it to burn off during her expected fasting while breeding??
Thanks very much!!!!!

Brian

ThIS IS the Fall....

just stop feding her now and start breeding her in a month or so

......YES too fat is too bad.......at times huge girls lay good and at times huge girls lay 11 eggs and only 6 of them will be good........

I think the sperm goes into one oviduct well and really doesn't swim up the second one much at all.....

........she won't lose much weight anyways....just stop her feedings.....
