OT, I got a new dog.

CCS Sep 30, 2007 06:43 PM

I know a lot of the boa guys like their dogs too. I thought it over for a few months and decided that I hadn't had a dog in a long time and wanted another one. The exact kind I wanted was a Red Doberman, but I decided to check out the local humane shelter just to see if I could find a cool dog. When I went in they had this awesome two year old Red Doberman male sitting in a pen. He was literally traumatized from being in the kennel, but as soon as we got him outside he started coming out of his shell. He got beat up some on his travels and has some good scratches, but nothing that won't go away with time. He has almost fully adapted to the house and looks like he will make an awesome pet. Anyway, here he is.

And here is a pic of an albino I produced this year just to stay somewhat on topic.

He is a handsome fella Chris!

I think it is really great that you went to the animal shelter FIRST and found exactly what you were looking for!

He will have a great life with you, I am sure.

Denny

OH, nice snake too!

First off, I give you MAJOR props for adopting one, that to me is the coolest part, there are so many unwanted dogs in the world, thats awsome you where able to rescue one, and give it a good home, sure is a beautiful dog and wish you nothing but the best.

Second...fantastic Red Albino, makes me so want to get an Albino again. Thanks for sharing both...

Red tail doberman that is.
Thats cool you got him from a rescue. Im sure he will be much happier with you.
My guy "Captain" is also two years old, not neutered and about 85 lbs. This breed is very smart and loyal.
Good luck with yours.
Feel free to email me if you ever have any issues with him, maybe i can help.

Thanks
Mike

I know of 4 boa keepers off hand with Dobies, I think they may become the official dog, lol. It was either a Dobe or a Boxer for me, they are both just great dogs. And btw, that is a gorgeous dog.

Thanks, Chris

Congratulations to the new addition to your family Chris! What a great thing that you were able to adopt that guy from the shelter! He is definitely a VERY handsome boy and hopefully will bring lots of joy and laughter to your lives.

Dobermans are such a wonderful, noble breed and really one of the best dogs ever!

I have a bit of a soft spot in my heart for them
