Always great to see a clutch of these. Some of the tricolor hatchlings have very "high white" bands almost an ivory color as opposed to the rose/orange tones seen in most.

Here are some examples of the higher white i mentioned. A hypo from this year and a het from a couple years ago.

And here is a 2005 hatchling that is on track to breed next year. Can't wait for this one.

last but not least... I noticed this in the father of these guys and two of the hatchlings. Looks like the beginnings of triad on just behind the neck. Interesting that it is "vertical" - has anyone seen this trait? Does it just end up as a stripe if you select for it? Or just another triad?
I like all of those, very nice.

Those are some SWEET tri-colors!
The strange marking on the neck is basically just a slight aberrancy, things like that are fairly common in Hondurans.
If it was much longer and pronounced, then it would really have some "WOW FACTOR".............very nice animals!

thanks! you are probably right - just some aberrancy. I couldn't help but notice that the same triad has that aberrancy in 3 related animals. I'm used to aberrancies being more unreproducible - or sometimes they come from infected eggs (also not the case here)...
But yeah - variation is common in hondurans like you said.
Very nice hypo you have here!

They are all pretty damn sweet, but this one is giving me cavities! I really love that low band count.

nice tricolor. i like the low triad count, too. Down around 11-13 they look really striking.
Simply awesome. I love that low band count animal pictured first. What a beauty!
Here's mine, possible het anery also!

Those are some really nice tri color hypos!!!!! Randy W.
Thanks to all for the kind compliments.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one witha soft spot for these tricolor hypos.
