My turn to Brag

Midnight_962002 Oct 01, 2007 12:23 PM

I just wanted to show you my favorite dragon that I have produced this year. She is a rainbow of color. Red stripes down her back keep intensifiying. Her blue bars are unchanged and her Citrus arms glow.

Not even 12 weeks old and already 11" and 80 grams. She is going to be a hard one to say goodbye to!

Here are the links!

Pretty Dragon but darn yours grow slow. This dragon was hatched on August 8th so he's not even 8 weeks yet and 11 3/4" and 73 grams. lol.

Sorry but her back is in shed and the reds don't show up well with my camera phone anyway.

Just kidding about the growing slow part. I don't know why mine grow so fast. Probably just too spoiled.

No offense taken. Especially sense mine have more color. J/K

Here is a picture of her sister. Can you see the Red?

Color is meaningless to me. I almost never buy dragons. Mostly I take in unwanted dragons put them with mates and incubate a few eggs for fun. I keep all the babies. I never sell them or have any interest in doing it in the future. So if all mine were normals it'd be fine with me.

Nope. Never sold one. I have been known to give a couple away over the past few years. Mostly rescues that I rehomed. I am very particular about my care and people I place them with must meet my exacting reqirements. lol. Most of the time I have to supply all the necessary lights, enclosure, etc. too. I never charge anyone anything. I have 13 dragons right now including Brutus, one of my recent rescues that is so sick he is being taken care of full time at the home of a retired reptile vet. So there are 12 here. This past year was the first I incubated some of the eggs the girls laid. I intend to do a few more next year.

I am in the process of building 3 more of the angle front cages that I have posted a picture of many times. This will bring my total to 9 of these plus my glass terrariums. After Thanksgiving I am planning to build 3 more for a total of 12. One of my friends says I need to go to meetings. lol. (like AA meetings)

That's alot of dragons to have. I like to take my time with the people that I sell to. I normally go over everything 2 or three times to make sure we get everything right and ready for the arrival. I also offer to take any of them back should there living arrangements change or something. They are living things that have feelings too!

The only problem with your theory and mine is that dragons have value. I also make them commit to return the dragon to me if something changes. When you sell them to someone they will not return it to you for free. Even in my case people have sold the dragon rather than give it back to me for free. Just human nature I guess.
