My snake room is 9' x 17' and is the back third of my third garage stall. Would have liked to make it to different dimensions but this would allow me to get a small car or SUV into the front of that stall.

I put most of my focus on structure, electric and insulation, although I do have some regrets in those areas - long story.

I don't have any running water out there but that actually has not been much of a problem. Eventually I will probably run a water line to the room but don't believe I will cut up the garage floor in order to install a drain.

I like the wooden racks. Did you build them?

I built all of the racks other than the aluminum one in the middle. That is a prototype of the original Vision racks that was built around an Iris box I happened to already be using and the same box used in most of the other racks pictured. I now have two of those, probably the only two in existence, but that's another story.

So yes, I built the melamine racks and then the large rack as well. The large one was built from 32" hollow core door blanks.
