Went to NC last Thursday. Myself, Chris Jones and my brother in law visiting from San Diego who is into reptiles but had never been herping. Had a decent day in all. 1 eastern kingsnake, 1 gorgeous copperhead and a corn snake in shed plus a few racers, but they dont count LOL. On the way home there was a SMOKING red box turtle. That dude probably has soviet genes in him he's so red
Pic 3 is of a herping hazard and good reason to wear boots, on top of the fact we were in pigmy and canebrake country.
Opted to put this here because of the kingsnake find and share the rest of the story.
The best part of the whole day though is that my brother in law had SUCH a good time I have an open invite to come out to San Diego and herp out there with him!

Haha, the pic of Chris Jones holding the racer is funny (the look on his face). Ken

His enthusiasm for racers is apparent, isnt it?

You won't find anything in San Diego as cool as your NC easterns! And racers DO count, btw. They are actually very cool snakes. Just under-appreciated among herpers.
