GROWTH RATE

BRONXBOY Oct 01, 2007 03:09 PM

Hello,

Just curious what a normal growth rate is for a uromastyx ?
Do they grow quickly or slowly ? My juvenile ( about a year and a half old ) red Saharan uro is eating and everything is fine but it is not growing that fast. I am somewhat new to uros so I am not sure how fast he should be growing.

Thank you in advance for any input given.

If you're used to something like a beardie, uros grow more slowly. As long as he's eating well and steadily gaining weight (a gram scale is a great investment if you don't have one), then I wouldn't worry about it.
