Who's your daddy?

Well, I wanted to show off our first bumblebee. I know you see these a lot now, but it's still exciting.

But also, wanted to share the fact that this clutch, as well as an earlier clutch were fathered by two males.

We bred both a spider and a mojave male(s) to many of our females this year. We had some mojave clutches and some spider clutches.

But two clutches, produced both spider and mojave. Kinda cool. (The clutch below was from a normal female.)

Thanks for looking,

Nice clutch, but getting successful matings from multiple males is not as uncommon as you may think. Using more than one male increases the chances of getting young.
