I don't post here too often but I was taking some pics and figured I'd put them up. Well my three corn snakes turned 1 years old so I figured I would measure and weigh them all. I used the snake measurer program to do the measurements, not exact i'm sure but pretty close. I've really been amazed at how the blood and the normal have grown so fast. Can't wait to breed these and see the different offspring should be interesting to say the least, so many possible combos.

First up is a male Amel Bloodred het anery, 287 grams and 39inches. This guy looks super nice in real life, i can't seem to get a good pic of him.

Next up is a normal het amel possible het bloodred, anery, hypo, and charcoal. She is 289 grams and 40 inches long. Anyone ever seen a belly pattern like this??? Any ideas??????

Last is an amel possible het Bloodred, hypo, anery, charcoal

Nice snakes. The snake you say is "het for bloodred" looks a lot like mine. But I call it out crossed as I still say the bloodred is "non hetable" in the sense of breeding 2 hets and getting 25% bloodreds. Babies vary greatly, but yours should be het for the diffused gene. It does seem to have a lot of black in it. Mine does too, but some of her siblings had near zero black and had all white bellies. Again, out crosses vary and it must be like line breeding to get back to a good bloodred. Thats as far as teh colors. Again the diffused gene has been claimed to be 1 simple recessive trait. So yours is het for that.

My outcross. pics a it off from real colors. But her mom was spanking!. I'm just interested in seeing breeding her back to a male bloodred one time to see the baby variation.

What "snake measurement program" are you talking about?

The one available on http://www.serpwidgets.com/

It's definately helpful and beats using a string.

I didn't really have a set schedule. The two largest ones have never refused a meal and eat when shedding and everything. They have been real fast growers from the start. I've been happy with them since I got them.
