As long as I'm here, how about a serious

As long as I'm here, how about a serious question. I have heard that het Pied Balls are actually visual het for Pied. Any truth to that, and if so, what is the marker?

Perhaps a newbie question I know but then I am pretty ignorant when it comes to anything but Boas and plenty of other things too.

Thanks for the answer but, bellies with no pattern? You are talking to a complete Ball Python Moron here. I have no idea what is being displayed. Thanks for the help though.

The marker theory is just a theory and has not been proven conclusively one way or another. Marker is three scale wide white belly with solid black lines running up both sides. Said marker can be found on completely normal balls as well as het pieds.

I just fed your girl another Monster Rat today. I am going to try one more time to get pictures of that orange on her. Is it cool enough to ship to Sunny Miami yet? She is pushing 7' now and the most highly orange Albino Boa on the planet!

I am really interested in some of the markers in Ball Pythons. Not so much in Ball Pythons but in how those characteristics might translate into Boas.

The various Lucy Balls each show "markers". It is only a matter of time before someone finds one of these that makes captive born Lucy Boas. Only a matter of time.

In the mean time, I am always looking for that something special or different and new that may be untapped. I just bought this in Daytona:

He looked very strange while opaque:

Unusual at least and GENETIC at best if we are fortunate.

Nobody knows yet but strange. Does anyone see anything that is at all reminiscent of any of the "markers" in Ball Pythons?

Nice Boa... definitely different. I like the reduced sides and Motley like pattern.

I suspect this was just a ploy to post Boa pics on the Ball Forum. I see you are still sneaky Old Man!

Regarding the Pied Markers Jeff, I don't buy it. I have many none pieds with the same markers. Although I do find het genetic stripes and het caramels have this look about them. I am testing this theory and will let you know what i find out in a couple of years.

Stay warm up there and don't believe anything Decker tells you! LOL
