From your own experience, how long were you able to have a box turtle before it passsed away?

i know of several people who have box turtles who have been with them since before i was born (almost thirty years) many of these were wild caught and likely already over a dozen years old.

I know of at least 10 or so turtles who have been in their owner's possession over 30 years. I know several turtles who have been in captivity for over 50 years! The turtles are still going strong. I have read of turtles that were alive after 70 years or more. I think it safe to assume that turtles should outlive their first owners. Even very old turtles
