question on Classified Posting

sjtownsend Oct 03, 2007 11:41 AM

I was just wondering.......when you have hets for sale and post them on the classifieds, is it right to have your heading NOT include the word het?

Example - Albinos,Pieds and Clowns

then when you click on it.....they are really only selling hets for those morphs. I think its a cheesy way to get extra views and waste peoples time who are not looking for hets.

It reminds me of sale ads in the newspaper, you go into the store for an item and they don't have any.....but they got you to come in and look.

I also think the person looking for a het, might not bother to look at a post they know is more expensive than what they want to spend.

what do you think?

KS should pull those ads. They are misleading. Nothing short of false advertising.
IMHO

I agree, I too think it's a little cheesy.

The ad should portray the ethics and integrity of the person presenting it.

All we've got is our word. It better be something our customers can lean on.

If any ad appears to violate the classifieds TOS, or are questionable in any other way, please use the 'report abuse' link provided with each ad (this is just like the 'report abuse' for forum posts.

Or, you can use the 'contact us' link at the bottom of kingsnake.com and select the classified abuse coordinator.

Either of these two methods is the best way to get the appropriate admin staff to look into any issues with a Classified ad or forum post.

dont forget exclamation point abuse. the cheesy false exuberance of so many folks who add multiple exclamation points on every post makes me wanna remove the key from their computer. that key should be used very very sparingly.

of course folks who refuse to use caps annoy the crap out of me too... !

I have used the report abuse link 1 time and it didn't do anything. Somebody posted not 1, not 2 but 3 ads in a row for the same exact animal with the same exact pictures and wording. Like by the 3rd time I look at it, I may decide to finally buy it.

I guess I'm doing good if thats all I have to complain about. Enjoy the breeding season everyone.

I think you guys are being a bit petty. So, someone posts an ad you do not care for, check out the poster, remember or write down their name, and do not open anymore of their ads. I do it all the time, there are probably 10 people who at one time or another, did, wrote, etc., something I did not agree with, and posted an ad that was misleading, a normal as a proven line of Axanthic, etc. I just do not open up their ads anymore, simple.
