I have a clutch of gray band eggs incubating. Eleven eggs were laid 52 days ago by a first time breeder. The male is proven and the female is not. One out of eleven of the eggs was obviously infertile from the get-go. At about week 3, I lost two more - collapsed, shrunk, molded, stunk.
Now, just this week (week7), 5 out of the 8 remaining eggs have begin to dent pretty seriously. Is this due to low humidity? Or did the eggs die?
The other three eggs still look fine but I am worried about their future as well.
I am incubating at 82°F in vermiculite mixed 1:1 by weight with water with a thin layer of barely damp spagnam peat moss on top.
Please give me your thoughts.
Thanks a bunch,
Tom
