Interesting Boa Development....

She is an 04 White Group not so normal. It appears that she has an unproven IMG trait kicking. At the rate she is changing, she will be all black in a couple of years from now......

Thoughts? BTW, This is what she looked like in 04....

Thats a great looking snake. Looks alot like this guy I sold last month. He would get darker every shed.

Of your male. Mine is untraceable past her mom, but that fellow looks just about like he could be her long lost cousin or somthing. Thanks for sharing....

He was purcashed from a pet store back in 2002 in OKC, Oklahoma

That's awesome!
There's no longicauda in there?

There is a slim possibility that she could be of longi cross, or rather that her mom, the WG matriarch is. She was bought at a pet store in rural lower Alabama in 01.

Now I am no longicauda buff, even though I am a big fan of them. I believe they were a scarce commodity to the pet trade at that time. The matriarch, nor any offspring produced from her thus far have the tell tale longi head shape. So far it is Zero, and possibly two from the f2 07 litter that I am sure have the trait(one of those is a male). There were surely more from my first two litters that were sold and lost to anonymity.

Beautiful regardless. Those are definitely some genes worth exploring.
Also, for some reason, I thought there was a guy in AL that did longi. If so, it could be some of his stock.
Like I said, no matter what-a snake worth having and breeding.
Congratulations!

LOL!!thats what I thought when I first saw the IMG's posted
To my knowledge BCL cant be bred to BCI/BCC due to the pieces not fitting the parts

TnK, I had heard about the "parts not fitting" so to speak, lol. Do you know of any further backing on this?

I believe one forum member is attempting Anery Longi X Leopard Sonoran. So while arguments will be made against crosses, it would answer the capability question.

You prolly know about as much as I do,most likely read the same data.It till its proved otherwise then it has to stand.
They dont call them "Longtails" fer nuthin !!
Personally/Frankly, I hope the mentioned project crashes and burns.
There is waaaaay to many variants still unproven in the BCL ranks to afford ventures involving Sororans.
Maybe their trying for one of those "RattleHeadedCopperMoccasins"?

I would love to know how that turns out. I had not even considered the parts not being compatible. If they are not, it would at least rule out Bcl in our line's heritage.

Neat schtuff.....

Wouldn't that snake be having a lot of B.c.longicauda in it, as well as some other Peruvian?
